Northern California (NorCal) Chapter of NIGP

The NorCal Chapter of NIGP, a chapter of The Institute for Public Procurement, is a not-for-profit organization comprised of public procurement professionals throughout Northern California.

 

Our membership includes representatives from state and local government, special districts and public education agencies who are dedicated to professionalism, excellence, and continuing education in the public procurement profession.

 

The NorCal Chapter of NIGP was established in 2002. The Board of Directors meets bi-monthly and hosts events throughout the year.

 

We invite you to join us at an upcoming meeting to learn more about how NorCal NIGP can help you and your organization.

 

 

OUR MISSION AND GOALS

  • To promote ethical, efficient, and cost-effective public purchasing and materials management,
  • To provide educational programs, products, and services for public purchasing personnel,
  • To enable public purchasing personnel to exchange useful information about policies, practices, procedures, products, and services of common interest,
  • To otherwise promote the professional conduct of purchasing activities by public agencies, and
  • To promote other charitable and educational organizations in the professional conduct of similar activities.
